Using a heart rate monitor
CrewNerd supports all standard Bluetooth Heart Rate Monitors (HRM). To pair your HRM, go to the settings page and select "Heart rate monitor" in the "Accessories" section. On the iPhone, CrewNerd will immediately begin scanning for a monitor. On Android, you'll need to press the "Start Scanning" button. Note - be sure to wear your heart rate monitor before attempting to pair with it.
While scanning, CrewNerd will show a list of all heart rate monitors detected nearby. Usually, only one monitor will be seen. If there are multiple monitors listed, use the brand (and serial number) to choose the correct one. Press the entry for your HRM to complete the pairing.
CrewNerd will attempt to connect to the device you choose and will show you the connection status. Once paired, CrewNerd will automatically attempt to reconnect to the HRM whenever you start the app. If you need to pair with a new monitor, you can remove the old pairing and scan for your new one.
iPhone users - CrewNerd can read your heart rate from your Apple Watch when you run CrewNerd there and select the "With iPhone" mode. You should NOT attempt to pair your Apple Watch as described here.
