Custom courses & waypoint settings

When you use a custom course, CrewNerd will automatically start and stop the timer as you cross the start and finish lines of the course. CrewNerd can also help guide you through waypoints, if any have been specified for the course.

The settings on this page give you control over some aspects of CrewNerd's behavior when using a custom course.

• Auto-skip missed waypoint

  If this option is enabled, CrewNerd will try to detect when you have missed a waypoint and appear to be headed for the next one, and will automatically skip the one you missed.

• Waypoint course indicator

  When you use the "course to waypoint" data field, course corrections can be given either using left/right arrows, or as turns to port or starboard.

• Minimum course correction

  To help avoid over-correcting your course, you can instruct CrewNerd to remain silent until a larger course correction is required. This setting lets you control that threshold.

• Waypoint alerts

  This setting lets you separately enable text popups and audible sounds when entering and leaving waypoints.
